Wichita Center Welcomes Two New Associates

On May 1, 2016, the Congregation of St. Joseph welcomed Mary Kay McCarty and Tony Morrow as new Associates during the annual Pinning Mass at our center in Wichita. They join over 450 active associates living out the mission and spirituality of the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph.

Mary Kay McCarty lives in Denver, Colorado and has been married to her husband Larry for fifty-three years. They have five adult children and ten grandchildren who all live in the metro Denver area. Mary Kay and Larry are both retired and enjoy traveling. She has known the Sisters of St. Joseph since she was in high school at Mt. Mary’s in Parsons, Kansas. Even though she lives in Denver, Mary Kay regularly returns to Wichita to visit with the Sisters living at the Mount. She appreciates the mission of the Sisters and makes opportunities to be part of that mission.

Tony Morrow lives in Wichita, Kansas and has been married to his wife Sara for twenty-three years. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. After a career with the Postal Service that took them to several locations throughout the country, Tony retired early and they moved back to Wichita to be closer to family. Tony has been a volunteer at Dear Neighbor Ministries for about five years, serving the “dear neighbor.” He was drawn to the Sisters of St. Joseph as a result of their dedication to put the needs of others beyond their own.
