Women’s Issues subcommittee

From the beginning of our congregation, the sisters and associates of St. Joseph have been aware of and tended to the needs of women. Still today, there is discrimination against women in the United States, in our world and even in our Church. Women and their children make up the majority of the poor, the uneducated and the victims of violence. Over 800,000 women and girls are sold into prostitution and pornography, for organ removal and as unpaid labor every year. Yet women have a power to change the world, and when we stand together with our brothers, as members of the congregation of God’s great love, we can make a difference in the lives of women everywhere.
