Environment

Join with Sisters and Associates in planning strategies and programs that will educate and inspire community members and the larger community to make choices for a healthy, sustainable future. If you are interested in conservation, eco-spirituality, healthy living, eco-friendly economics and/or eco-justice, please join like-minded people in our congregation as we promote and protect Earth. Contact Mary Ellen Gondeck at mgondeck@csjoseph.org.

“The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development for we know that things can change. I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. We need a conversation which includes everyone, since the environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concern and affect us all. Laudato Si (13-14) . . .We believers cannot fail to ask God for a positive outcome to the present discussions, so that future generations will not have to suffer the effects of our ill-advised delays.”. Laudato Si (169)
