In addition, many sisters work in a variety of other ministries, including youth and young adult ministry, campus ministry, parish and diocesan offices, spiritual direction, peace and social justice, prison ministry, massage and other healing touch therapies, pastoral care and pastoral counseling, and many other areas.

Wherever a Sister of St. Joseph ministers, the charism of loving unity is shared! Please contact us for more information about our areas of ministry.

Ministry in New Orleans

New Orleans shared prayer

Young adult volunteers and sisters worked together to help the rebuilding effort in New Orleans.
Here the group is gathered for prayer and sharing around the experience.

Ministry in Kansas

Kansas State Fair booth

The Catholic Sisters of Kansas sponsor a booth at the State Fair as a ministry of presence among the people. It is a simple way to interact with thousands of fairgoers. A sister is pictured with young people visiting the booth.
Children spin the wheel at the booth to win a prize—a prayer card or pencil from the participating religious congregations. Members of the Congregation of St. Joseph staffed the booth for two days. Other congregations staff the other 8 days.
